So for the last several years MLS and RSL have help with the fight against Breast Cancer, this year is no different.
Here are the details of what RSL is doing:
ReAl Salt Lake is offering free tickets to Cancer Survivors for the October 5 game against FC Dallas. There are 20 free tickets for survivorsremaining, and are distributed on a first come first serve basis. All tickets must be ordered by tomorrow Sept 27th so don’t wait.
For information on these tickets please contact Jen Petrosky 801.727.2728 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Not a survivor, please share this with the survivor in your life.

For additional tickets for survivor family and friends please use the offline order form or contact Jen Petrosky.
The public can also order tickets through the following link http://www.realsaltlake.com/tickets/ticket-promotions Promo Code: ACS
All tickets purchased through this link or the offline form will result in a $5 donation to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is an opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what can be done to reduce breast cancer risk and raise money to help American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research. This year, the walk will be held on Saturday, October 12 starting at 9 a.m. at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. To sign up or donate, please click here.
For more information and questions please contact Jen Petrosky 801.727.2728 or Cidne Christensen 801.493.4715
Thank you and hope to see you on October 5th at Rio Tinto and on October 12th at the walk at Liberty Park.
Here is the info on the larger league wide efforts:
MLS WORKS, Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative, today announced details for its 2013 breast cancer awareness campaign, an element of the Soccer Kicks Cancer platform.
MLS and its clubs will work to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and treatment during the month of October as part of the MLS WORKS initiative.
League games will be played with a commemorative pink adidas Prime 2013 Official Match Ball accompanied by pink corner flags, pink goal nets and pink Soccer Kicks Cancer fieldboards.
The Professional Referee Organization (PRO) match officials will join MLS players in wearing MLS WORKS pink ribbon patches on their jerseys in addition to pink adidas sweat bands, and pink shoe laces.
The starting eleven players for both teams will don MLS WORKS pink ribbon t-shirts during the procession and national anthem while goalkeepers will receive pink uniforms and gloves for club selected breast cancer awareness games.
Gatorade has donated pink sideline towels to support the campaign and coaching staffs have been provided with pink MLS WORKS knit scarves.
MLS will also auction off game memorabilia, including autographed match balls and select player-worn t-shirts and jerseys, online at MLSsoccer.com/works beginning on October 14. A portion of the proceeds from national fundraising efforts will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the United States and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in Canada.
You all know I am a fan of supporting good causes and most of us have either been impacted or know someone who has been impacted Breast Cancer, so spread the word and do your part to help raise awareness and fund.
That’s How I See It
